2020 iPhone Notes

This poem is really a cut-and-stick compilation of my iPhone notes over the last six months. It is a mix of thoughts I had but never fleshed out, to-do lists I didn’t get round to and quotes from things I’ve read and seen. It was particularly interesting to track the changes since we went into lockdown, and how as we slowly re-emerge, our social interactions will be forced to change and adapt as well. I only wonder what my notes for the next six months will look like.

I’ve realised I’m living in an outgrown shell of my childhood that’s been moved halfway across the world

Today someone thought if I released an album it would be called ‘to all the boys that loved me but I didn’t love back’

To write in future: Does the romanticisation of Connell Waldron actually reinforce toxic masculinity?

Sometimes things come back to you in quiet clarity, like the smell of toasted sunscreen

Hindsight will be 2020 but there is nothing really we can do about it all

I have figured out I understand nothing about cryptocurrency

Prospectus notes: is the text difficult to read or difficult to understand?

Last night someone told me I suited a veil

Do you see that girl really trying to flirt with that man who really isn’t interested
